The Cage is the backbone of the Modi Boxi system—a rugged, multi-level storage solution designed for hobbyists who want total control over how they carry and organize their gear.

Built around four heavy-duty corner supports, the Cage Boxi locks each level firmly in place while still allowing the entire unit to be carried toolbox-style from a reinforced top handle. The open cage design gives you strength, visibility, and flexibility without unnecessary bulk.

Each Cage Boxi is fully customizable to your needs. Configure every level with optional inserts including:

  • Miniature storage (horizontal or vertical)

  • Paint and bottle trays

  • Card storage

  • Dividers for dice, tokens, and small accessories

Prefer open space? Leave a level empty and use it to store anything that fits—terrain pieces, tools, or in-progress models.

BOXI SIZING INFORMATION

Each Boxi level represents a fixed vertical height, allowing you to stack and combine Boxis to create the exact storage height you need. The overall height of a Boxi Cage is determined by the sum of the Boxi levels used in its construction.

Boxi Heights by Level

  • Level 1: 30 mm

  • Level 2: 60 mm

  • Level 3: 90 mm

  • Level 4: 120 mm

  • Level 5: 150 mm

Standard Footprint

  • All Boxis share a 210 mm square footprint, ensuring full compatibility across the entire system. Any Boxi can be stacked with any other Boxi, regardless of level, while remaining compatible with lids, handles, inserts, and cage hardware.

The configuration options listed on this product page represent our most popular and most efficient builds. Many additional combinations are possible within the Boxi system.
